| PhD in German candidate, University of Waterloo Mareike Müller is pursuing a doctoral degree in Applied Linguistics/German Studies at the University of Waterloo. She received her Magistra Artium in German as a Foreign Language, Science of Speech and Phonetics, and Intercultural Business Communication from the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena in 2007. Her current research interests encompass multiple aspects of second language acquisition, with a focus on the development of learner beliefs in study-abroad contexts.
