Graduate teaching and supervision on enlightenment and classical German literature, theatre, Goethe, Schiller, intercultural performance, scholarly methods and critical approaches. Monographs on Johann Christian Krüger, the German Nachspiel, Goethe and Schiller's Egmont, co-editor of four edited collections, articles on German literature and drama from the eighteenth to twentieth centuries, and on German language. His most recent book is Bennewitz. Goethe. Faust.
